More drivings. Still waiting for it to fall apart.

Also, I'm a bit bored and work and am trolling like a boss. And I got a raise today. Wasn't supposed to get one. Life = good.

Broke either the CAS or fuel pump. Thinking the fuel pump, but I'll know for sure later.

Replaced break line, fixed rusted threads/completed diff assembly, tried removing red paint from rear replacement calipers and wound up just cleaning them and spraying them black. With the way things are going should have it down on its wheels in about a week or so.

Still getting the motivation to get the Turbo FB up and running again. Sucks that it's down, but giving me time to reflect on the car

The Evo runs, but wings are clipped for a bit. It's still down at RS and idles and drives, but it needs new injectors (#1 won't fire fully at idle, issue followed the injector when moved) and a new IAC. Beyond that, the bearings are good for another 100k+ according to Ron after inspection.

What was with the sparklies in the oil, then? What caused that?

    ....on crap fuel. :(

We didn't bother disconnecting the AWD stuff on the dyno, so I'm just going to round it to a straight 410. lol

Aluminum from the head, which likely did not go through the hot tank enough times. I was told that it should not be a problem as it should not leave the oil pan due to its weight.

Finally finished re-wiring the strobe lights on the front of my car! You could say I'm pretty happy about that.

Now, for the next project I'm thinking of doing this type of light kit for the tail lights...

Diff, axles, driveshaft, ppf, transmission, front A arms and sub frame are in the car. Interior is back together, ac deleted, head light brackets and most of the wiring is in place. Now just need drivers rear upright, and oil pan/pickup and it can go off for exhaust work.

Those're North Carolina plates, for the record... But right now I'm getting all the info through a middle man. The best part about an Evo 6, all the big stuff is available here in the states; clutch, motor components, etc.

    Bad ideas, etc.

    Well, yesterday...

I bought it! Well, the one that I'm driving now. '06 Jetta GLI, FSI, DSG. 111k on the clock and still runs like a champ. I've been a part of a lot of the major maintenance on this car, so I knew I was buying a solid, well maintained example. It isn't completely stock, and has a few basic bolt-ons:

    Neuspeed intake
    Evo X BOV - crushed
    Ebay downpipe
    EPL "Stage 1" chip

Power is 197whp 237wtq at DB, which is ~10hp less and ~20tq more than a bone stock Evo, and when it's not spinning (stupid rain) it certianly moves out like one. The little K03 Sport is out of air and the stock DI pump is out of fuel, so the car'll stay as it sits. A nice, fun, reliable DD.

The one pic I have, and it is not one I took:
