last year i betrayed my 92 Supra, and bought a 86 RX7. I hated it the whole drive home from wyoming MN, as the weeks passed driving her, i realized that she was a good car, and treated me well. So now its my turn to treat her well, and turn her into my

Thanks guys, I know ill be needing a lot of help with this build. I am pretty much a noob when it comes to the rotary world. My main purpose for this build is to have her ready for the NOS event's this year, and of course as much seat time as possible.

So, my buddy informed me that the E fan from a ford taurus bolts right up, and works pretty well for the FC, so i ran out to johns auto parts, picked one up for about $20 wired it up so it was running through a relay, and it worked great for about 2.5 drift sessions, then shorted out.....any ideas or suggestions?

By shorted out did it take out the relay or is it just a problem with the fan?

if you have to you could always just wire it up to a switch with proper voltages.

yeah i have done that in the past, i think its a tad risky though

lol not so much, more like I was drifting one time, and somehow the insulation on the wire wore through and shorted out on the battery or somewhere. I don't remember where it made contact, but it pretty much turned into a red hot knife, and cut through my oil line running to my oil pressure gauge in my Supra lol

Project is going well. I swapped in a new 13B, and just installed BC racing coilovers. I am however, having idle issues with the 13b. It starts up, will idle at 3k for about a min, then it kills completely. The times I can keep it running, it will idle pulse between 1,500 and 2,000. Help?! Any tips or ideas will help at this point. I've checked for vacuum leaks, and can't find anything. The motor ran just fine, when I had it in the old FC. Hence the reason I'm lost.

3k would be the accelerated warm up, as far as idle try calibrating the tps and then idle adjust screw

Also is it a stock ecu?

Yeah it's the stock ecu, and I've tried the idle adjust screw

Test the TPS, I have had 2 go out on me in the past 3ish years that caused all sorts of random issues.
