My oil smells like gas!!! I pulled the dipstick on my NA 13B and had a whiff of gas, thought to myself..."no"...smelled the dipstick, sure enough it smelled like gas, and oil:confused:

I know it can happen if the engine has flooded. Otherwise it can happen do to excess fuel.

As Grappler is saying is its normaly from it flooding, my Rx wold smell like fuel after like 12~1500 miles after an oil change. When did it start?

it happened like maybe 50 miles after doing a oil change. I was out drifting, and my E-fan shorted out, so i figured i would check everything else, and noticed it was smelling like gas

One for a project and one for parts - seems like the norm :)

As a precaution, I just got another short block just in case something happens. Apparently flooding and oil control rings cause this? Not entirely sure yet but synthetic oil seems to better resist oil breakdown should gas ever make its way into your oil pan.
