Well, I joined a Cult I feel like today. The Wife and I traded in her 09 Corolla S for a 09 Mazdaspeed 3

 

I filled up with the last full tank of 93 octane my car will ever see.

 

Helped fix devlins car issues. Realized I bought the wrong wide-band I bought the one with a 3' cable vs a 8' cable QQ

Just curious. So far, with what you've done with your MS3, what has been most 'worth it' as far a modifications go?

Nah, Jojo's car has enough traction issues with the current power on pump gas. I'd not throw corn at something like that until it's for sure not going to spin through 4th.

Yeah, I'm aware of the issues they have wit that, lol. We just had a stock one on our lot and the tires spun even stock.

 

I personally say wheels and tires BUT that is cause I'm a girl and want pretty things once in a while

Otherwise Rear Sway Bar has been an awesome Mod and I would highly recommend it to another MS3 owner

Besides from that, the MS3's have a big issue with not being able to use their whole RPM range stock. Due to intake restrictions. So replacing the intake box and replacing the turbo inlet tube were great mods as well. (Though not sure if your wife will ever need that )

Yeah... I'll chirp the tires on most of my gears... no corn, though it would be fun to see the dyno changes with it.

I broke the Dodge on it's shake down run. Something went wrong with the rear diff. I was driving the truck, did a couple burnouts in front of a huge crowd of smowmobilers. On the way back to the shop the truck bogged down for a second and then everything was fine. A few moments later there was a bad vibration, so I pulled over to take a look.

The engine was fine, idling good, harmonic balancer was fine. Then I got a whiff of this weird smell. I looked at my friend, what is that smell, it smells like someone is cooking a huge put of onions. His eyes lit up and he looks under the truck at the rear axle.....

The gear lube was boiling out of the front seal on the rear end.

I limped the truck back to the shop. I didn't open it up, but it needs a rear end, or just the gears. I don't know if I want to replace just the gears though messing with gear lash and alignment. I can swap out the whole axle on the cheap.
