Saw one the other day by where I live. Roseville on snelling by the mcdonalds. And had a thought. Someone needs to get one of these!!!! Make it a project car or something. I bet it'd do pretty well in autocross. There's a supercharged yaris hatch that does super well. Anywho. Just wanted to share the idea:)

I ave always loved the 2. I think a 2.3 DISI motor in one will do very nicely. Though as we see with the MS3, traction is the hardest part with that motor and now it on a car that is even lighter!

But seriously, this thing is HOTT

    MAZDA Evil Track
The MAZDA2 Evil Track car was envisioned as a fully equipped car for series racing, and all required safety equipment to meet SCCA and NASA competition regulations. This iteration was inspired by the MAZDA2 Evil concept which debuted at the Los Angeles Auto Show in 2009. The MAZDA2 Evil Track car has an enhanced motorsport aesthetic achieved through Mazda race-inspired graphics and colors.

MAZDA2 Evil Track car is equipped with a Mazda Design aero body kit, including side skirts, front and rear air-dam and carbon fiber rear deck spoiler. Modifications include H&R race suspension and coil over kit, AWR full custom safety cage, Sparco Circuit pro seat, steering wheel, safety harness and fire system, AIM MXL Pista data acquisition system, race-tuned Magna-flow exhaust, 949 6UL 15x9 lightweight wheels and 225/45/15 Hoosier race tires.

To celebrate the arrival of their new standard Mazda 2 at the recent LA Auto Show, the team revealed a mean looking sporty concept which showed their darker side.
The 2Evil Special Concept is Mazda’s high performance concept car, based on the Mazda 2 but given a makeover by the firm’s in-house tuning company, Mazdaspeed. It is described as a weekend racer, but one that can function equally well as an urban commuter, and is the Japanese firm’s answer to Ford’s sporty Fiesta which was also shown off at LA.
The matte grey 2Evil Special Concept sports a more beefy body kit than the standard Mazda 2, giving it an aggressive stance, sitting lower with a new front spoiler and deeper side rocker for improved aerodynamics. It also gets wider skirts and some zingy 17″ lime-green wheels equipped with Yokohama Advan tyres.

At the rear, the concept has been given a lower diffuser to highlight the Magna performance exhaust system, and a new rear spoiler has been designed for both added down force and, Mazda say, a more racy appearance. This look is topped off nicely with the addition of motorsports inspired graphics including the historic number 55, a tribute to the 1991 Le Mans winning Mazda 787B race car.
Mazda haven’t as yet released any details on performance or whether this car will make it to production, but if they can match the engine power to the sporty looks of the car, then it should be very good indeed.
