Wanting Some Section Mods!

I'm looking to start getting a few people on board who will help put some useful info on this forum. I did a bunch of it when we started the car group and have not had time to keep up with it.

The Mazda section has the biggest example of what I'm looking for. I was gathering useful DIY, How to's and giving credit where need me. I'm looking to have the info placed on this site. Not just linked off to. I want the content

If you are interested in doing this please let me know. I'm REALLY needing people who will be active, stay active, and post in their section at least once a week. You will be responsible to a Make of car on the forum.

Official Title of your role will be "Section Editor" if you take on the position (and realistically, you can have more then one section, just is double the work)

The sections being at this time:

• Infinity
• Subaru - Filled-> 02subbiers
• Toyota
• Lexus

• Trucks

I guess I can start putting more in the vw section/Toyota (4age stuff) sections

 

what are you exactly looking for us to do by the way? product reviews? info on engines? how to's?

 

All of the above

Mainly filling in the areas with some useful content. DIY's & How to's are easy to find all over online. Find ones you think are useful and get them over here. I did that alot when building my car. I didn't want to have to search for DIYs I needed, so I started posting them here

You would also be responsible for helping out people who might post questions in the section of the forum. Just like any Mod might But that will probably be less, since we all mainly post in the one group Thread

 

I could do the Mitsu section no problem, I've got access to tons of resources and info for DSMs and Evos so I could phase that in over time.

 

i know lots of stuff about nissans...

So, are you thinking of splitting up the mod group into global mods and section mods to keep those you do give section privileges to on a shorter leash?

 

It is not so much lease as it is duties. If that makes sense.
We have the Admin (me), Super Mods (Erik, Jon, James). Those are the 'overall mods' for everything here and at the meets/events

BUT I'm just wanting some help to get this site more info, useful stuff that we all search for when doing something on our cars.

I'm hoping to find people who are a bit more submersed in that particular 'Make'. They can post useful info for that section and help people who post questions in that section. On a blog they would be called a 'editor'. You'll have 'some' rein over that full 'Make Section'. But nothing like an Super Mod or admin would. I also don't want people thinking this role means your word is god in that section I'm wanting info posters not hard asses

I realize this role won't be for everyone. I am looking for people to get a DIY or info type post up at least once a week. This means taking a little bit of time every week for this role. I'll start bugging people if they don't I just don't have the time personally to do it. But I really WANT to do it

Make sense? I'm wanting useful content on the forum. And these people would be the ones responsible for putting it there.

 

Another quick note. Is I'll probably keep this open for a week or two and then start putting people in places. If you know people who you think fit the bill, tell them to contact me.

I just wanted to clarify on that considering you stated you were looking for 'mods'.

I think once a week, especially this time of year when people aren't doing much on their cars, and are either getting ready to store them or do major tear-downs, is a little high of an expectation. I can up some FSMs and post some links over time, but I think I'd run out of things to post by the end of the year, nowhere close to the end of the winter.

As I said though, I'm definitely up to the task.

Forum level mod stuff is enabled, global mod menus are not, mod panel links aren't showing up... Looks like you gave me all the right permissions and none of the wrong ones!
