I have a 'phat' 60GB backwards compatible PS3. Bought it used in Dec '07, got the YLOD summer of '10. Fixed over the winter (by me), have used it for ~20 hours since then no problems. Can wipe the system or leave the audio/video/game saves and whatever else may be on there if you desire.
