I have had my car for awhile but never have done a Build Thread on it. And as most of you know, it is getting lots of work done to it now This is my car on the day we brought it home, and I love it. Nani is "What" in Japanese. It is my favorite word and the word people will say when I blow their doors off lol! 2009 Mazdaspeed3 GT in Mica Black. We decided on it after test driving the MZ3 and Erik telling me I would hate it (I had a 3.5L V6 Truck with lots of 'go'. And all I wanted was 'go'). So we test drove the MS3 next and it was awesome! Now I have been wanting to get more into cars, learn them, work on them, drive them. So once Erik and I started dating, I got my wish. First thing I wanted a BOV (or BPV in MS3 terms). Needed that sound! I watched a lot of Youtube videos two pick a BOV, in the end I did the TurboSmart because it is a hybrid and can be adjusted. And along with that I got a Intake, went HKS because of the unique design. BOV: Turbosmart Dual Port BOV Intake: HKS Racing Intake Next was a Test Pipe (or Mid Pipe). This removes one of my Cats and gives my exhaust a slightly louder sound. (pics to come) Test Pipe: Corksport Test Pipe After this I wanted to get some of the looks taken care of. So I went around and tinted all my markers and reflectors. I have painted my emblems black and added a blue line to the ridge. My fog Lights were painted yellow. I got black eye lids for my headlights. And lastly the windows were tinted all around including a visor tint, and my tail lights were tinted. Windows: 35% all around & 5% Visor tint Tail Lights: 20% tint Markers & Reflectors: RC Model Tint painted Emblems: Paint Black with a Blue ridge Fog Lights: Stained Glass painted Yellow Eye Lids: Mica Black Then on to my favorite part so far! The wheels! I spent many months trying to figure out what I wanted to get for wheels and tires. I love blue and wanted to incorporate that in my wheels if possible. But my main issue is my husband I can't just pick a wheel because I like the looks, it has to be functional, strong and light I had originally picked out OZ Alleggritas wheels in their blue. But after 3 months of waiting I canceled and looked else where. So I saw an awesome picture of Konig wheels, with a color on the spokes and fell in love! Erik would not let me get the knockoffs, so I found that WedsSport had the real deal. And they are light. About 18lbs per wheel, my stocks are 24lbs. Tires was easy. I like Yokohama, and I got the best they had to offer, which actually rated the best on Tirerack also, minus that they are a 'little' louder. Wheels: 18x8 +45 WedsSport SA-55m in Black and Machined Blue Tires: 235/40/18 Yokohama Advan AD08 Going on from this I added a few more pieces. But I don't have pictures for them yet. (pics to come) Bushings & Short Shifter: Cobb 2-way Adjustable Short Shifter and Street Unit Bushings Gauges: CP-E triple gauge pod w/ boost, oil temp and wideband gauges Turbo inlet: Cobb Turbo Inlet Tube in Blue Rear Sway Bar: Tri-Point RSB in Blue ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ SO, what's up next??? ALOT! And you will have to just wait and see I should be coming soon
Ha! The wheel spin one? I do too. I always wondered what those wheels looked like rolling and my friend J finally took a shot for me Need more!
Thanks Thanks. I have pictures of everything else we have been doing, just wanted to get it done before posting it here That way it is a surprise
Yesterday, on Forza 3, I was in need of a good FWD. Bought a MS3, and put black wheels on it, then a MN plate that says NANI. Thank you for the inspiration.
